Wrapping up a fabulous vacation and comedy adventure here in Charleston, South Carolina.
Here’s a clip from Friday night’s show.
I was grumpy until I hit the ocean, and then things were cool. Thanks to Dolly at the Sanctuary Spa at Kiawah Island for great Reiki, Claudia at the same joint for great Swedish massage, Mom, Dad, Dom, Brandy and Greg and Sean and Eleanor and Nora at Theatre 99, Mike and Laura at 98X and 105.5 The Bridge, Skirt! for being my favorite since I was in high school, Hyman’s for the best she-crab soup evarrrrrrr and for being the only Jewish shellfish cafe in the world, Jason Zwiker at Charleston City Paper for the lovely write-up (and his editor for the most hilarious headline ever), Mike Wang for the awesome poster, and a partridge in a palmetto tree.
As always, thank you to Keri, Emily, Sarah, Katrina, Lydia, Dan, Carl, Kelsey and everyone at Whitesmith Entertainment for the PR push and the booking magic and the encouragement. Thanks to my boss Craig at Cosmo Radio for giving me the time off to chillax and perform comedy down here!
Thank you to the amazing superfans who showed up and gave my mom lots of love. You made the night extra-special.
I must also thank Janie Haddad and Paul F. Tompkins for introducing me to the magical culinary delights of Sullivan’s Island.
And a BIG thanks to Janie for introducing me to the greatest bra shop of all time, Bits of Lace. No longer shall I wonder why my boobs hurt when a cab hits a bump, or why my 34D bras dug into my flesh. The gal at Bits of Lace was like the burning bush, and she issued a similarly earthshaking edict: I am a 34DD. I have been wearing the wrong bra for years. And then she had me try on a Primadonna 34DD, and my life changed for the better.
Thank you, Girl Who Sort of Professionally Felt Me Up But in a Classy and Not Freaky Way. You are a gem.
